I am Mariette Robbes, an illustrator and graphic designer based in Provence, France.

I am working since 2016 as a graphic designer, focusing now on editorial and commercial illustration.

I love to make sense out of things. I’m most happy at solving problems with creative solutions.  Nothing gives me greater pleasure than combining things together: be it concepts, ideas, people, color or compositions!

Before that, I’ve worked for a wide variety of organisations and companies as a project manager. All those experiences  forged me a solid palette of organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to perfectly understand a project from a client perspective.

I believe in crafting this world a better place: I’m committed to several nonprofit projects, in defense of cultural diversity. I’m a member of the board of the International Alliance of Independent Publishers, a network of 750 publishers in the world of favour of bibliodiversity and fighting censorship, and I participated to Project DELI, an Encyclopaedic Dictionary of South Asian Literature.

I speak french, english, spanish & hindi. I’m a ardent lover of all things indian.

When I’m not drawing , you’ll find me sewing, cooking, knitting, weaving, gardening, sculpting… I’m that kind of crafty person 🙂
